GELOSIA

The design idea draws on the heritage of rural construction, where brick is the fundamental co-structural element, and is inspired by Gelosia. Gelosia is a window fixture that aims to prevent the view of the interior of a room while allowing those inside to look out, but its meaning has also been extended to indicate perforated brick walls.

The project was therefore born by rethinking and reconstructing the textures of this collective memory. It was born by giving value to the wooden brick as an element to build one's own space. A simple shape, but at the same time very versatile.
