BRAC BOOKSTORE

The expansion project for the Brac Bookstore stems from the desire to consolidate its image, setting up the new premises for a plurality of possible uses.

The intervention renovates the spaces of the room bordering the current bookstore, which is characterized by large volumes, vaulted ceilings, and exposed beams, creating, through furniture, several distinct and interconnected areas: the entrance hall, the room with large displays and bar counter, a space for presentations, shared work, and finally a space for children iterature and young people.
Each space is characterized by different stage devices and furniture elements, with different functionalities, finishes and variable configurations.

This is a multifaceted project that, while acting on specific points of the space, introduces new suggestions and atmospheres in which to appreciate the selection of art books in a relaxed atmosphere, eat and drink in company, listen to conferences, find workstations for studying, or simply spend time and immerse oneself in reading. The furnishings amplify the tones of the original project in their chromatic and material choices, increasing the combinations and expressive languages.
