In the lively Sant’Ambrogio neighborhood of Florence, Sara Bardazzi is opening an artisanal ceramics workshop, where she will welcome customers and enthusiasts during events and open studio sessions.

The project addressed the dual nature of the workshop: first, as a store, to which a distinctive graphic and visual identity was to be given; and second, as a workspace, designed to accommodate various ceramic-making activities in accordance with the workshop’s different hours of operation. Added to these is a third identity, linked to the numerous group workshops hosted in the workshop on holidays.

The space is organized around a central table, with display and work areas arranged on either side. The workshop’s main display window overlooks the bustling Via de’ Macci, serving as a showcase for Sara’s porcelain pieces and offering passersby on the street a prime vantage point.
Each element is part of a single Exhibition Design a slender framework that defines the space through the intersection of vertical and horizontal planes. The neutral colors of the iron furnishings, the earthy tone of the floor, the wooden shelves, and the pastel hues of the ceramics lend the space a simple, homey atmosphere.
