The project is in charge of an apartment renovation for a young couple in the green and lively Cure neighborhood of Florence. The clients involved the studio in designing an informal and hospitable space where they can welcome friends and treasure life-long passions.
From the very beginning, the project took care of the organization of the existing spaces, organized around a dark central hallway, with a clear division between living and sleeping areas. The design process opens up to the different possibilities of the space and the needs of the two young owners.
The intervention completely transforms the existing building, trying to make rooms as open and bright as possible, taking advantage of the apartment's double exposure. The project develops through volumes and furnishing devices, added to replace certain partitions, to create new relationships between spaces and alternate uses.
The interior is renovated through the use of color and different materials. The walls are plastered in neutral tones, which play with intensity between the living and sleeping areas. Custom-made furniture enlarge the space proportions and characterize the different living areas according to different colors and textures.
