The project involves the interior spaces of a building in the Brozzi district, whose ancient roots appear to date back to the early Middle Ages.
In this context, the studio focused on creating a domestic environment for a young Florentine couple, redesigning the various living spaces through the insertion of volumes that act as specific devices.

The various volumes define new spatial dimensions within the rooms where they are placed, creating entry filter spaces, becoming container spaces, enclosing service rooms, becoming work islands in the kitchen, etc. The volumes recalibrate the proportions of the space, inserting new functionalities and changing the circulation.

The predominant colors are white, black, and gray. The white plastered walls brighten the rooms. The oak parquet flooring has been used on both levels of the house. The dark-toned volumes highlight the new spatial dimensions. The furnishings have been chosen in neutral tones. Color is used almost as a surprise effect, as in the guest bathroom, which is unexpectedly revealed inside the black box that contains it. Or in the bedroom, where the headboard of the bed is also the covering of the walk-in closet and, together with the curtain, presents a tone that partially detaches from the rest of the house.
