In Milan, in the historic Porta Venezia neighborhood, our firm studio oversaw the renovation of this home for a young family.

The project begins with the reorganization of the existing spaces, which are arranged around the central corridor and now feature built-in wall cabinets and filtration systems, as is the case with the bookcase that runs the length of the entryway.

The design avoids a clear separation between the sleeping and living areas, opting instead to create a sense of fluidity between the spaces, which is further emphasized by the continuity of the hardwood flooring. The utility areas have been redesigned to include a secondary yet fully equipped bathroom and a main bathroom, organized with storage units, a double sink, and a shower niche.

The house is designed as a neutral, minimalist space, with white surfaces and light wood paneling, where the gray tones of the kitchen alternate with the dark, enveloping tones of the bathrooms.
