BRAC BOOKSTORE

The project to expand Brac Bookstore starts from the desire to consolidate its image by setting up the new premises for a variety of possible uses.

The intervention renovates the spaces of the room bordering the current bookstore, which is characterized by large volumes, vaulted ceilings, and exposed beams, creating, through furniture, several distinct and interconnected areas: the entrance hall, the room with large displays and bar counter, a space for presentations, shared work, and finally a space for children iterature and young people.
Each space is characterized by different stage devices and furniture elements, with different functionalities, finishes and variable configurations.

It is a multifaceted project, which while acting for specific points of the space, grafts new suggestions and atmospheres, in which to appreciate the selection of art books in a relaxed atmosphere, to eat and drink in company, to be able to listen to lectures, to find places to study or simply spend time and immerse oneself in reading. The furnishings amplify in their color and material choices the shades of the original design, increasing their combinations and expressive languages.
