The project involves the interior renovation of a single-family home in Prato. The existing building is being completely reorganized and divided into two residences; the first occupies the ground floor and the basement.
Thanks to direct access from the garden and the floor-to-ceiling windows, the dining room and living room are spacious and bright. The peninsula-style kitchen is designed as a single open space, where travertine, natural wood, and painted wood alternate to highlight the various elements. A burgundy-red section lines one side of the hallway and leads to the bedrooms. Here, the design incorporates a series of custom-made furnishings: a headboard in slatted wood paneling, the sliding panel that closes off the walk-in closet, and a chest of drawers.
The tavern is designed to be a place for entertaining friends and enjoying leisure activities. The space features comfortable seating, as well as a bookshelf to display the couple’s record collection.
The space is the result of a distinctive use of color, designed to evoke a youthful and welcoming atmosphere. In terms of finishes, the color scheme is darker than that of the apartment above, creating a sense of warmth and intimacy.
